Mount Abu

Located in the Aravalli hills towards the west of India Mount Abu is one of the highest hill station which lies in the state of Rajasthan. This place is known to be the climatic heavens of the country. Apart from the climate this place is also known for the best tourist spots that are present here. Talking about the tourist locations Dilwara Temple built up in the period of 1000 and 1200 AD is just worth looking at. The whole of this temple is constructed with marble and is so mesmerizing that there have been a lot of instances when it has been compared with Taj Mahal. There is also a datta-traya temple here which is worth visiting because it just seems to be something that has just come out from a fairy tale. This place is visited by most of the Hindus and is considered to be very sacred.

In the heart of this town exist the Nakki Lake which has a history in itself to talk about. It has been said that this lake was supposedly drawn by the nails of some sage named Balam Rasia so as to fulfill the demands of the stepmother of the female he wished to marry. The sunset point or the honeymoon point is also one good place that you just cannot afford to miss.

How To Reach Mount Abu

The closest city to the Ranthambhore National Park is Jaipur so if you are willing to visit this place you can go via Jaipur.

Jaipur is a big town in Rajasthan and there are many flights coming to and fro from the major cities of India. From Jaipur the Ranthambhore national park is about 200 kilometers away.

Apart from this you can also go via rail and get down at Sawai Madhopur as it is the nearest railway station. It is just at a distance of 11 kilometers from the station.
