Jammu

Considered as a paradise on the earth, Jammu is the second city in the Jammu and Kashmir. The best part of this city is that it is so huge that it is divided in two sperate sections. One is an old city and another is the new city. The old city of Jammu is located on the top of a hill is such a location that you can not see the River Tawi whereas the new city is located at some distance along the other side of the same river. This city is spread over a vide area of about 20 sp, km. and is the best place to visit for most of the year. This place has a very cold tendency and the temperature here can also go up to 4 degree Celsius. So in case you are planning to visit this place be prepared and carry proper woolen clothing.

If you are too much fond of skiing, and other kinds of adventure sports then this is one of the best place that you can visit.When you pass through the terrain you will come across three well known ice cold very fresh water springs. It is believed that the water present here has some kind of medical properties. Linked with Kud and Batote the road to Patnitop is all covered with dense woods and lush greenery of the pines.

Reaching Jammu is not a very big deal as it is a very big city. Jammu is directly connected to al major cities in India thus traveling there will not be a big problem for you.

You can take up any flight as there are many of them moving to and fro from the cities of India.

You can also get there via railway. The Jammu Tawi is considerd as the biggest rail route that connects Jammu and Kanyakumari. It connects to almost all the major cities of India.

The National Highway 1A is the best way that connects you to Jammu via road. You can rent a private vehicle so that you can visit all tourist destinations according to your timing. Apart from this there are also local transport facilities which you can opt.
