Dallhousie

Dalhousie located at the western side of Himachal Pradesh spread over 14kms of area very silent and enchanting Dalhousie is a worth visiting hill station. This small hill station is situated at an altitude of approximately 2040 meters and has derived its name after late general Lord Delhousie who was known to be the British Governor.This hill station is also very well prominent for the five hills which include Tehra, Kathlog, Bakrota Balun and Potreyn.Snow coated valleys and huge trees inside the town of Dallhousie make it a place worth visiting. You will also be able to witness great big mountains that are just very huge and filled with lush green trees and plants.

Dhaula Dhar, is a mountain range to the west of which lies Dallhousie, one of the best hill station you just can’t avoid visiting. Dhaula Dhar which is a magnificent mountain range has a rear view and its beauty can just be believed after taking a glimpse of it. It is always covered with snow and this makes it look more spectacular for all the tourists who take a look at it. There are a lot many picnic spots here.  Apart from this a few more exciting hills that you can take a look at when you visit this hill station are Tehra, Kathlog, Bakrota Balun and Potreyn. Over a period of time these hills were taken over by the Indian government and there were also a few gurkha regiments that were established here.

Kalatop, is about 80000 m above G.P.O and is one of the places in near Dalhousie that has snow all year round. The only way to see Kalatop is on foot as most cars cannot go beyond a point. A lot of people who are crazy for trek can enjoy out here because this is one good place for trek.

Church,Majestically rich this town has a lot of ancient churches and buildings which remind the tourist of the era that has passed out long back. The very prominent churches that a tourist can visit here are St.Francis at Subhash Chowk, St John's at Gandhi Chowk, St Patricks and St Andrews at Balun.
